Our board is designed to make it easier for the little ones to connect complementary components, such as motors or sensors. In a simple way we can apply the possibilities of design and programming of the projects.
The democratization of robotics
Micro:bit is a BBC initiative to promote the learning of digital skills, robotics and coding among children around the world.
BBC micro:bit is a small 4x5 cm programmable card designed to make learning to code easy, fun, tangible and within everyone's reach.
An excellent resource for working on the digital skills of the future with Primary school students.
Micro:bit in the World
More than five million micro:bits distributed around the world to teach digital skills and computational thinking. An easy tool for your students and for you to feel more confident teaching robotics. Get inspired and be part of the community developing technological projects with students.
The code editor: Makecode
Microsoft MakeCode is a free and open source online platform that makes it possible to enter the world of programming in an intuitive, simple and gradual way.
To facilitate this task, Makecode has:
- Simulator
A simulator to test the programs immediately, thus facilitating the trial and error process. - Programming by graphic blocks
Learn to program through colored blocks that can be dragged and fitted to create programs. - When they are ready
They can further advance in programming using other more advanced programming tools, applications or editors such as Python or JavaScript.
Advantages of Micro:bit
Easy to use
It is a friendly and easily accessible board. Without the need to create any electronic circuit and use any breadboard, you can do simple and complex projects, simple and not so simple projects.
Open Source
It is an open source board. Both the hardware and the software are “Open Source”, to broaden the educational impact of the project.
Medium
It has a great educational community. Lean on the Micro:bit educational community and discover new projects and activities with a single click.
block programming
The graphical programming by blocks helps students to start programming in a simple and intuitive way. The color-coded blocks help them in the task of learning the logic of programming.
The current context is being determined by increasing globalization, digitization and universal access to information. In this sense, digital knowledge and skills are key competencies that students must acquire in order to make appropriate and responsible use of new technologies, and a critical interpretation of the information that surrounds them.
We have a personalized attention service active from Monday to Friday during the school day via telephone and email. Specialized professionals will accompany the school and the teachers at all times.
Our technological kits, Internet connection, a device (an interactive whiteboard, desktop computer, laptop or Android or iOS tablet) and the necessary artistic material for each project.
No prior knowledge in robotics or programming is necessary to begin with ART2BIT in the classroom. The activity plan provides the training that teachers need as they progress through the project.
It is one of the key competencies for the personal development of 21st century students and is already part of the new educational curriculum (*).
Knowing what use we can give to technology in the classroom is not an easy task. Training your students to know where, how and when to use this technology and give it an educational and creative utility is part of the purpose of ART2BIT.
* The activities that we propose have been developed in line with global objectives to make it as easy as possible for your students to acquire new educational skills, placing special attention on basic skills in science and technology and digital citizenship.
